<p>Rapper <strong>Trina</strong> is currently trending after crediting singer <strong>Beyoncé</strong> for the rise in female rappers and referring to her as the &#8220;number one.&#8221;</p>

<p>According to <a href="https://hiphopdx.com/news/trina-beyonce-female-rappers-door" target="_blank" rel="noopener">HipHopDX</a>, the 45-year-old sat down with the platform for an exclusive interview earlier this month. During the conversation, Trina explained that she loves seeing the new generation of female rappers enter the genre.</p>
<blockquote><p>&#8220;I love it. I just love to see the girls — there&#8217;s so many new girls. It wasn&#8217;t that many girls when I started,&#8221; the rapper explained. &#8220;I always just wondered, like, the day is gonna come when it was gonna dominate with females as opposed to just guys. And now the girls are doing it. So that&#8217;s an amazing thing.</p></blockquote>
<p>Trina explained that all of the female rappers &#8220;have their own style,&#8221; and now is the time for listeners to enjoy the diversity.</p>
<p>From there, the rapper was asked what she believes &#8220;opened the door&#8221; or sparked the rise of more female rappers.</p>

<p>In June 2021, the rapper&#8217;s longtime collaborator Trick Daddy went viral after sharing his opinion on Beyoncé and her husband Jay-Z, per <a href="https://www.revolt.tv/article/2021-06-22/50854/trina-defends-beyonce-and-jay-z-after-trick-daddys-comments/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">REVOLT</a>.</p>
