Monica has reportedly called it quits with her ex-baller husband Shannon Brown.
She reportedly filed the paperwork earlier this month in Atlanta, according to @tmz_tv, though a reason for the separation was not immediately listed.
Monica and Shannon share their 5-year-old daughter Laiyah, and Mo has two sons from her previous relationship with Atlanta rapper Rocko.
So far there are no details on whether she’s seeking child or spousal support but TMZ says that Monica was unsuccessful in sealing the divorce docs.
The couple got married back in 2010, but there was speculation they were separated in October 2018. She put the rumors to rest then when she shared a loving photo of the two together on Instagram.
But catch this tea, Roommates. The rumors started to swirl again because recently sis has been photographed without her wedding ring.

It seemed not too long ago the pair was so happy, though. In case y’all forgot, Monica famously claimed that her manz, who has played for a variety of teams including the Lakers, said he performed better on the court after they got it in! That was when he was hoopin’ for the Phoenix Suns.
But like we said, those were much happier times and we only wish Monica and her family the best at this time.
