#TSRPositiveImages: Ludacris Donates $100K To Bahamas Relief Efforts

And another one! The generosity continues to pour in for the Bahamas following the devastating aftermath of Hurricane Dorian—and the latest celebrity to offer financial support is none other than Ludacris.

Tyler Perry, Rihanna and the Disney corporation have all made commitments to help out the island of the Bahamas in major ways, and according to @WSBTV rapper/actor Ludacris has added himself to the list.

Luda made the announcement earlier this week that he will donate $100,000 from the proceeds of his annual Luda Day Weekend to help with the relief efforts in the Bahamas. He made the announcement on social media, even hash-tagging his generous effort with #LudaCares.

Since 2005, Ludacris has dedicated the Labor Day weekend “to social service and responsibility. The weekend brings together the Atlanta community and Luda’s celebrity colleagues.”

Hurricane Dorian has done terrible damage to the Bahamas and the current death toll is listed at 20, and expected to rise as the days continue. Several homes, businesses and cars were severely damaged in the hurricane—and the island is in immediate need of food and clean drinking water.

The Red Cross has set up a donation website for those who would like to contribute what they can to help the Bahamian residents as they endure such a difficult and heart-breaking time.

If you would like to donate you can do so here.
