#TSRTech: Apple Will Reportedly Offer Coding Camps For Startups Founded By Women

First of all, okay Apple! Calling all of our tech #Roommates, this may be information you want to look into! It seems the tech giant is doing it for the ladies and will soon be offering coding camps fo startups that were founded by women!

According to @FastCompany, Apple will offer a two-week technology camp at its campus in California. Ladies will receive a one-on-one app development guide with Apple’s very own tech experts and engineers. Along with the guide, the participants will also receive “mentorship,  inspiration, and insights from top Apple leaders.”

Startups chosen can send up to 3 people to participate in the sessions. The only requirements are at least one must be a woman developer, and one must be a female founder, cofounder, or CEO. The third person can be any gender but Apple hopes this helps boost public support of women in the tech industry.

Though the tech industry is still largely male dominant. It’s great to see Apple do their part in supporting women! Apple has always been progressive with their company and now they are stepping things up entirely with this new program. We hope our techy roommate stake advantage of the opportunity!
