#Roommates, earlier we reported that #HarveyWeinstein turned himself into the police in New York this morning. He was facing rape and sexual misconduct charges. Now, we have learned that he has been released on $1M cash bail. But that’s not it, he has also been fitted with a GPS tracking device, according to Yahoo! News.
He was charged with rape, criminal sex act, sex abuse, and sexual misconduct for alleged incidents that reportedly involve two different women.
Manhattan District Attorney Cyrus Vance said in a statement, “Today’s charges reflect significant progress in this active, ongoing investigation. I thank the brave survivors who have come forward, and my office’s prosecutors who have worked tirelessly on this investigation.”
In the meantime, Judge Kevin McGrath has ordered Harvey to stay away from the two accusing women via a temporary protective order. He was also ordered to surrender his passport, and may not leave New York nor Connecticut unless granted permission from authorities.
Benjamin Brafman, Harvey’s attorney says that Harvey will enter a plea of not guilty on all charges.
