<p><a href="https://dev.theshaderoom.com/tsr-breakups-jamie-foxx-and-katie-holmes-have-reportedly-called-it-quits/">Jamie Foxx </a>is not letting his reputation or the reputation of his new artist go down in flames due to the media jumping to conclusions. At least that’s the message he sent loud and clear in a recent Instagram video addressing the heavily rumored relationship between himself and Sela Vave.</p>
<p>Rumors have been swirling for several days now that Academy Award-winning actor/singer Jamie Foxx is newly dating young singer Sela Vave, just after his split with long-time girlfriend Katie Holmes. Well now, after keeping quiet, Jamie is clearing things up once and for all.</p>
<p>In an Instagram Live video, Jamie was seen in a lengthy video explaining the exact nature of his relationship with Vave—assuring fans that things are strictly platonic…and strictly professional.</p>
<p>He had this to say about discovering Vave:</p>
<p><em>“I’ve always been a person who’s been about talent. When you talk about Sela, I met her a few weeks ago at a party. Beautiful, beautiful young girl. She picked up a guitar, started singing for everybody… she was killing it. I said ‘What is going on? Why aren’t you famous?’ So, I started working with her. It’s interesting how the optics changed.”</em></p>
<p>Jamie Foxx continued, adding:</p>
<p><em>“People are saying I’m dating the girl, let me just say this, that’s absolutely not true! That girl hangs out with my kids. My young daughter loves her, my oldest daughter loves her… I talk to her mom, her parents. I know the nature of the business that we’re in, so I don’t trip on headlines, you know what I’m saying, I don’t trip on that. </em></p>
<p>Closing out his message, he made it clear that he takes his daughters into consideration when dating:</p>
<p><em>“I got a 25- year-old daughter and I don’t date in my daughter’s range…ever! I always try to make sure that my daughter can look and me say, ‘Hey Dad, you ain’t screwing up.’ I wanted to be able to address that.”</em></p>

<p>Vave also chimed in with a caption on the video, writing:</p>

Because it doesn’t matter to me, I’m out here to work and do what I love most.”</em></p>
