#TSRUpdatez: Love and Hip Hop: New York star #BrittneyTaylor says her beef with fellow cast member #RemyMa all stems from a misunderstanding.
Brittney said Remy and her had it out on Tuesday at New Yorks Irving Plaza over an incident involving Remys stepdaughter Dejanae in Miami during spring break, according to @nydailynews. We previously reported that Remy is being investigated for allegedly punching Brittney in the eye and now Brittney is speaking out on what went down.
She claims that she defended Dejanae from an abusive man who was beating her up.
What happened with me and Dej in Miami is I saved herI saved her life, and Remy reportedly got aggressive when Brittney told her that, according to Brittney. She was like, Thats not what I heard, and she punched me in the face.
The alleged attack happened during a concert fundraiser hosted by Fat Joe. Cops are investigating the incident but no arrests have been made.
Brittney Taylor is cooperating fully with the NYPD criminal probe, said Brittneys lawyer, Sanford Rubenstein. We are calling on any witnesses who saw what happened or have video of what happened to come forward.
Brittney said she feels like the incident has set a bad example for young girls.
I just dont feel like its okay for people to put their hands on someone thats not being malicious to them, thats being genuine, she said. “Shes supposed to be someone with the status and power that she can use for good or bad, she said. She shouldnt be punching someone punching someone so hard in the face to the point that here we are four days later and my eyes only getting worse. It really hurts.
Remy has not commented publicly on the matter but if she does end up being convicted of punching Brittney, she could get sent back to prison as she is still on parole after serving six years for shooting a woman outside a Manhattan deli.
