#Roommates, Parkland school shooter #NikolasCruz will be facing new felony charges as a result of an attack on a prison guard in Broward.
According to @Blast, a detention deputy at the Broward Sheriff’s Office Main Jail in Ft. Lauderdale was attacked by Cruz. The report states the detention officer named Sgt. Beltran told Cruz not to drag his sandals on the floor as Cruz walked around. Beltran then says Cruz responded to him by giving him the middle finger. Beltran said shortly after Cruz rushed him and punched him several times before Beltran landed a punch that reportedly made Cruz back away.
Crus was taken into custody and has since been charged with aggravated assault on an officer, battery and use of an electric or chemical weapon against a law enforcement officer. If convicted (which is likely) all three charges are considered felonies.
Crus is still awaiting trial for his participation in the tragic Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School shooting leaving 17 of his former classmates dead and hundreds of people affected by the tragedy. Currently he’s facing the death penalty. Given his new charges, it may be safe to say Cruz will likely spend the rest of his life in jail.
