<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">TSR Updatez: The search for a New Jersey couple who went missing last week after renting a Jet Ski in Barbados was called off by the country’s coast guard, <a href="https://www.cnn.com/2019/07/02/americas/barbados-missing-americans-search-called-off/index.html">@CNN</a> reports.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Oscar Suarez, 32, and Magdalena Devil, 25, of Montclair, rented a Jet Ski from a local company at Holetown Beach in Barbados on June 24. When the couple didn’t return after going off into the sea, the operators became worried and conducted a search but no trace of the couple, nor the Jet Ski were found. They were both wearing life jackets when they were last seen, according to police.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">U.S. authorities who were helping with the search also withdrew their assisting aircraft, officials said. In addition to searching the waters, authorities checked with the management of the hotel where</span> <span style="font-weight: 400;">the couple was staying, but neither of them had returned.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Barbadian Prime Minister Mia Amor Mottley told reporters that searches typically last 72 hours but she had instructed authorities to continue looking for Suarez and Devil for an additional three days. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">&#8220;We need to literally ensure that we have exhausted every possible opportunity with respect to finding your relatives,&#8221; Mottley said while addressing the couple&#8217;s family members.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">The family reportedly handed out flyers on a beach on the island&#8217;s west coast hoping to find answers. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">&#8220;We want answers,&#8221; Susanna Cruz, Suarez&#8217;s sister told CNN. She said the family had hoped for more land search efforts. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">&#8220;Talking to people actually on the beach. They are doing so but with limited results,&#8221; Cruz said last week.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Suarez and Devil checked into their shared room on June 22nd and were scheduled to depart last Saturday, according to the hotel.</span></p>
