It’s a different day and more Tupac memorabilia will be up for grabs through an auction website.
This time around, the breakup letter that he penned to Madonna back in 1995 will be up for auction. The letter, which was written while he was still in jail, has been causing quite the buzz, and it all has to do with race.
In the photos obtained by TMZ, Tupac writes, “For you to be seen with a black man wouldn’t in any way jeopardize your career, if anything it would make you seem that much more open and exciting.”
He continued, “But for me at least in my previous perception I felt due to my ‘image’ I would be letting down half of the people who made me what I thought I was. I never meant to hurt you.”
Although Tupac broke things off with the pop singer, he still wanted to maintain a good relationship. He ended the letter by saying, “I don’t know how you feel about visiting me, but if you could find it in your heart. I would love to speak face to face with you. It’s funny because this experience has taught me to not take time 4 granted.”
The letter will be up for auction through “Gotta Have Rock and Roll,” and the starting bid is at $100,000.
