<p data-pm-slice="0 0 []">Roomies, when it comes to<a href="https://dev.theshaderoom.com/beyonce-partners-with-the-naacp-to-provide-10k-grants-to-black-owned-small-businesses/"> Black-owned</a> luxury, you can’t go down your timeline without seeing someone counting down the days until the next Telfar &#8216;Shopping Bag&#8217; release. The bags are so in demand that they normally sell out within minutes after they drop! If you’re lucky like me, you might have secured a bag or two. While many are loyal to the brand, another company is trying to persuade their customers to shop with them at affordable prices.</p>
<p>Today on Twitter, there has been quite a conversation about fashion brand Guess after they came out with their line of handbags that are very similar to the design of Telfar. According to <a href="https://www.papermag.com/guess-telfar-bags-2651226372.html?rebelltitem=1#rebelltitem1">Paper Mag</a>, Guess is currently selling the leather &#8216;Embossed Logo G-Tote&#8217; in multiple sizes and colors at a low price of $78 to $95, compared to Telfar’s bags which range from $150-$257.</p>
<p>Although Guess doesn’t have the bags on their website, customers can purchase the styles through third-party retailers like Hudson&#8217;s Bay, Macy&#8217;s, and Dillard&#8217;s. Now yall know you can’t do anything without Black Twitter giving their opinion. Many feel as though Guess is heavily inspired by the Black-owned brand.</p>
<p>One Twitter user wrote, “Why didn’t Guess reach out to collab with the makers of Telfar?!” Another tweeted, “Guess has always mimicked other brands&#8217; purse designs. It isn’t new&#8230; But the Telfar is really ridiculous.”</p>
<p>Telfar wasn’t the only brand that Twitter users compared Guess’ designs to. They also brought Prada into the conversation as Guess has a &#8216;Little Bay Shoulder Bag&#8217; that retails at $68.00, which seemingly resembles Prada’s &#8216;Re-Edition 2000 Nylon Mini Bag&#8217; that cost $795.</p>
