<p data-pm-slice="0 0 []">Roommates by now, everyone has seen the viral incident in San Francisco where a Uber driver, <a href="https://dev.theshaderoom.com/uber-lyft-permanently-ban-passenger-who-refused-to-wear-a-mask-assaulted-uber-driver-in-san-francisco/">Subhakar Khadka</a> was attacked by his passenger who refused to wear a mask while inside his car, which directly went against Uber’s policy. The act which was caught on video has caused outrage, and many have demanded justice for Subhakar. As we recently reported, the rideshare company and their competitor, Lyft, have both taken action by banning one of the women involved from their respective platforms. San Francisco PD is currently investigating the situation, and there is new information that may help Subhakar receive justice swiftly!</p>
<p>According to<a href="https://sanfrancisco.cbslocal.com/2021/03/11/update-two-women-seen-attacking-uber-driver-in-viral-video-wanted-for-assault-robbery/"> KPIX TV</a>, two of the women involved are now wanted for assault and robbery. A law enforcement source identified the two suspects as Malaysia King — wearing red — and Arna Kimiai, the woman sitting behind Subhakar and seen grabbing his phone. The third woman in the middle, who was wearing a mask, was identified as Ashli Washington. Ashli currently isn’t wanted for connection in the incident, but KPIX reports that she may likely be with Malaysia and Arna.</p>

<p>Arna has been very vocal on social media, justifying her actions. Shortly after the incident, she posted several videos following the event that happened last Sunday. She even claimed that the driver wanted the incident to go viral. However, with the newfound attention, she has changed her once public account to private.</p>
<p>Many people have continued to rally behind Subhakar on social media, including Uber’s first investor, Cyan Banister. She created a <a href="https://www.gofundme.com/f/helping-subhakar-khadka-attacked-uber-driver?utm_campaign=p_cf+share-flow-1&;utm_medium=copy_link&;utm_source=customer">GoFundMe</a> account after learning that the company initially offered him $20 in compensation after one of the women allegedly sprayed pepper spray in his car, leaving the smell in his car. Later, Uber upped the compensation to $120, but Cyan wrote in the GoFundMe description that it wasn’t an adequate amount to cover the expenses needed to have a professional car detailing. In addition to lost wages from not being able to work due to the traumatic experience.</p>
<p>People have been showing out in support. As of now has surpassed the goal of $20k and has raised nearly $62k. Roomies will always keep yall updated on what happens next as new information becomes available!</p>
