Aside from being one of the worlds most legendary supermodels, Tyra Banks is also a fierce businesswoman who is always coming up with new ways to expand her very impressive brand. Her latest venture involves one of her trademark phrases and the universal appeal of ice cream.
In addition to her numerous TV projects, and coming out of modeling retirement with a recent Sports Illustrated cover, Tyra, 45, is apparently ready to tempt your taste buds with ice cream guaranteed to make you smize.
As you know, Ty Ty coined the phrase smizemeaning smiling with eyes, back in the early days of her iconic reality series Americas Next Top Model. Now, reports are swirling that she recently moved to trademark smize ice cream.
According to a listing United States Patent and Trademark Office, Tyras company applied for ownership of the term Smize Cream on June 21st. Longtime Tyra fans are likely well aware of her love of food and how her indulgence in ice cream was responsible for shifting her modeling career.
While on set for her May Sports Illustrated cover, she explained that she will always be #TeamIceCream:
I thought I needed to drop 30 pounds. I thought I had to look the same. Then the ice cream called my name. Yep, all flavors. From Butter Pecan to Matcha to Coffee. I love me some ice cream and I just couldnt say no to it when I heard it calling. TyTy, Come eat me from my moms freezer.
She continued, adding:
This is me in @si_swimsuit today. Ice Screaming from mountain tops, Screw cookie cutter beauty! Yes, we should exercise. Stay healthy. Take our vitamins. But sometimes we can give ourselves permission to work out with a scoop of frozen deliciousness in our hands.
Apparently, there is still some secrecy surrounding the potential ice cream line hitting grocery store freezers because Tyra and her reps are not commentingyet.
