<p>As many of you know, last week, Tyrese and his wife Samantha Gibson announced that they would be divorcing after three years of marriage. However, it looks like papers were filed a few months before their official announcement.</p>
<p>According to <em><a href="https://www.tmz.com/2021/01/05/tyrese-divorce-estranged-wife-changing-locks-ex-split-child-support/">TMZ</a></em>, Samantha filed for divorce back in September, and in the petition, she alleges that a few weeks prior, Tyrese had cut her off financially and locked her and their 2-year-old daughter out of their Georgia home.</p>
<p>However, in the documents filed by Tyrese, he denies those claims. However, he reportedly admitted to having an issue with Samantha requesting $20k a month in child support, calling it &#8220;unreasonably high.&#8221;</p>
<p>When it comes to the reason for their split, Tyrese recalled returning home from a movie set in August and being confronted by Samantha, which led to a tense conversation, where she allegedly threatened to call authorities.</p>
<p>Tyrese continued to recall that he left their home in an Uber because he didn’t want to have an encounter with police due to the &#8220;multiple public incidents involving police brutality and racially motivated killings of unarmed African American people.&#8221;</p>
<p>As we <em><a href="https://dev.theshaderoom.com/tyrese-and-wife-announce-divorce/">previously</a></em> reported, both Samantha and Tyrese released a statement concerning their divorce, and Tyrese later stepped into The Shade Room comment section and said, &#8220;Black families and marriages are under attack. I&#8217;ve wrestled with this question. How can we naturally know how to BE something never raised by? Most of us were raised in broken homes with NO examples of what being a husband, wife or FATHER is&#8230;&#8221;</p>
