Who else was excited when they heard that there is a “Straight Outta Compton” sequel in the making? Yeah we were too, too bad Universal Pictures determined that was a LIE!
We previously told yall how Daz Dillinger put the word out that there was a supposed follow up for S.O.C. on the way that would focus on Snoop, Tha Dogg Pound, and Tupac.
The man really had us going, he even went as far as to say that the sequel plans had Ice Cube’s stamp of approval. Welp, it looks like Universal Pictures ain’t get that memo because they are saying ain’t no sequel bih!
A Universal spokesperson told Entertainment Weekly, “At this time there are no plans for a Straight Outta Compton sequel.”
It looks like Ice Cube ain’t like the fact that his name was involved either! His publicist also went to EW and told them that Cube does like the idea, he hasn’t granted authorized any sequel.
