The Glendale Police Department’s Investigation

According to the outlet, authorities looked into the Instagram Live video where Morant was seen holding the weapon. Additionally, police “found no proof that a crime was committed” and shared a statement with the public.

In this case, it should be noted that on the night in question the GPD did not receive any calls for service at the nightclub regarding a weapon of any type. Subsequently, no disturbances were reported, and no citizens of patrons of the club came forward to make a complaint.

The police department’s investigation “concluded that no one was threatened or menaced with the firearm.” Furthermore, the investigation revealed that “no firearm was ever located.”

The NBA Issues An Update In Response To The Investigation’s Findings

According to the Associated Press, the Memphis Grizzlies revealed that Morant “will be away from the team for at least four more games.” The team shared the announcement after the update from the Glendale Police Department.
