<p>The conversation began on Twitter earlier this week after a user lauded &#8220;My Boo&#8221; with praise and inquired, <strong><em>&#8220;Can we get a sequel to this like already?&#8221;</em></strong></p>
<p>Alicia Keys, who was tagged in the tweet, went on to add eyes emoji and bring further attention to the &#8220;My Boo&#8221; question. Additionally, the singer tagged fellow collaborator Usher and <a href="https://www.songfacts.com/facts/usher/my-boo" target="_blank" rel="noopener">one of the song&#8217;s writers</a>, Jermaine Dupri.</p>
<p>On Thursday (Aug. 31), Usher responded and casually asked, <strong><em>&#8220;What we doin?&#8221;</em></strong></p>
<p>Although neither artist has issued any concrete confirmation, it looks like a little somethin&#8217;-somethin&#8217; could be brewing ahead of the 20th anniversary of the 2004 track.</p>
