<p>Twenty two year-old Justin Bieber has come a long way in his career in the music industry, and he still has more to accomplish in his future as the years go by.</p>
<p>Usher sat down with Ryan Seacrest and revealed what he saw in young Justin to help jumpstart his career!</p>
<p>On Tuesday, iHeartRadio hosted a panel discussion at Cannes Lions, and Ryan and Usher discussed the 37-year-old singers journey to success which started at just 14-years-old, which is similar to how Bieber launched his career at such a young age.</p>
<p>Seacrest asked the legendary singer what led him to mentoring The Bieb’s and he said, “It was his natural charisma. He has such a bright personality.”</p>
<p>“Success has many fathers,” continued Usher. “There wasn&#8217;t just one thing I saw in Justin. There were people around his talent. His manager, Scooter Braun introduced me to him, but he wanted my help to develop his talent.”</p>
<p>Usher reflected on looking up to longtime iconic legend himself. “We are all searching for a mentor,” he said. “Something to create your measure of success. Mine was Michael Jackson.”</p>
<p>Usher also shared that he “made sure” it was good timing before dropping hints that he would take the “What Do You Mean” singer as his mentee.</p>
<p>“I made sure I didn&#8217;t rush the process with him,” he said. “I took my time. One thing I have learned is to be patient. I met him a few times.”</p>
<p>Bieber has been a huge fan of Usher since before his career launched so it’s good to see that his talents didn’t go unnoticed by the person he truly admired!</p>
