<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">In an interview with PEOPLE magazine, Viola stated, “We have together time every single morning when we get in the jacuzzi and we have together time every night &#8217;cause we get in the tub together.&#8221;</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">The busy couple takes their time and soaks in the tub. Sometimes the hubby even falls asleep. “And we soak in the tub and we talk. Sometimes he falls asleep with his mouth open!&#8221;</span></p>

<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">The two maximize their time together, &#8220;I give him facials,&#8221; Davis says. &#8220;And we just chat, chat, chat, and he&#8217;s just really sweet. Every single day we do that.&#8221;</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">“Every day is like a date,&#8221; she added.</span></p>
<p>Most recently, Viola Davis&#8217; Vanity Fair<a href="https://dev.theshaderoom.com/viola-davis-vanity-fair-cover-makes-history-as-dario-calmese-becomes-the-first-black-photographer-to-shoot-a-cover-for-the-magazine/"> cover made history this past summer</a>. The cover was shot by Dario Calmese, who has become the first black photographer to shoot a Vanity Fair cover.</p>
<p>The photo of Viola shows her wearing a gorgeous blue dress that shows her bare back. According to <em><a href="https://thehill.com/changing-america/enrichment/arts-culture/507265-viola-davis-vanity-fair-cover-makes-history-as-first">The Hill</a></em>, the image is meant to channel the slave portraits taken by Louis Agassiz in the 1880s, in which they were photographed with their backs towards the camera showing off their scars.</p>
<p>Calmese said, “This image reclaims that narrative, transmuting the white gaze on Black suffering into the Black gaze of grace, elegance, and beauty.”</p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">In 2016, the couple renewed their marriage vows. They have been married for 17 years and share a daughter together.</span></p>
