Whew, you gots ta be more careful! Waka Flocka had some explaining to do after a comment he left under a post on Akademiks Instagram page was misinterpreted as his agreement with a theory about the Megan Thee Stallion and Tory Lanez situation.
Akademiks shared a story from a rapper named Cash Talk that said, “Megan 6 Feet. Tory 5’2. We don’t know what the hell (happened) in that car! Y’all know females be tripping and s***!!! All these cap a** rappers picking a side like little B****s and s***.”
The post contained a picture of the rapper alongside the message. In the comment section of the post, Waka Flocka dropped a simple comment with two “100” emojis, which many perceived as his way of agreeing with what Cash Talk said.
Megan stepped into The Shade Room with a response to the post, which she later revealed was directed at Cash Talk: “He didn’t make it past the 9th grade I expect nothing less coming out of his mouth.”
As things started to heat up and people began to drag Waka, he also stepped in to explain his comment was solely about the T-shirt Cash Talk was wearing and not an endorsement of what he said.
“Ummm I was talking bout the shirt @drolife damn y’all think of me like that bool,” Waka said.
He later explained his connection to the clothing line, which he is Chief Marketing Officer of.
While it seemed the dust had settled, Waka’s wife Tammy Rivera called out Megan with a lengthy post defending her husband, but Megan explained she was not talking about Waka and Tammy quickly deleted the post before apologizing to Megan.

The conversation surrounding Megan and Tory seems to continue on social media after Megan’s revelation that Tory was the person who shot her. The conversation has been part of a larger one calling for the protection of Black women.
