<p>Paul appeared to have only one security guard with him at the moment of the confrontation and went back and forth with the boxing legend &#8211; who himself boxed Paul&#8217;s brother Logan in an exhibition match in 2021.</p>
<h3 style="text-align: center;">Jake Paul Runs Way From Floyd Mayweather &; Entourage After Miami Heat Game Wednesday Night</h3>
<p>Moments later, Paul took off running as the cameraman can be heard egging him on.</p>
<blockquote><p>“Look, he’s running! Jake Paul running champ! Why is he running?” someone is heard saying in the video.</p></blockquote>
<p>The 26-year-old, who just recently lost in professional boxing for the first time against Tommy Fury last month, later took to Instagram in an effort to clear the air.</p>

<h3 style="text-align: center;">Paul Defends Decision To Run Away, Says He Wasn&#8217;t Trying To Get Jumped By &#8220;50 Dudes&#8221;</h3>
<p>Paul characterized the altercation as a potential jumping, and defended his decision to run away.</p>
<blockquote><p>&#8220;I’m like, first of all, what did I say to you, Floyd? I just took your hat and you’re still mad about it? Come on, bro. And then 50 dudes literally start surrounding me to jump me, and I’m out that b****, ok?”</p></blockquote>
<p>The hat Paul was referring to harkens back to a media event for Mayweather&#8217;s bout against his bother, where Jake was filmed snatching the cap of an angry Floyd Mayweather, leading to members of Mayweather’s crew attacking Paul.</p>

<p>However, <a href="https://www.tmz.com/2023/03/08/floyd-mayweather-confronts-jake-paul-miami-heat-game/" target="_blank" rel="noopener"><em><strong>TMZ</strong></em></a> reports that Wednesday&#8217;s confrontation was unrelated to the hat incident, and instead stem from comments Paul made to Mayweather.</p>
<blockquote><p>“Jake crossed the line. This wasn’t about grabbing a hat. This was about Jake’s comments to Floyd about Floyd’s deceased family member and other below-the-belt inappropriate behavior,” a source told TMZ.</p></blockquote>
<h3 style="text-align: center;">Paul Challenges Floyd To Boxing Bout, Mayweather&#8217;s Entourage Responds To Jake Online</h3>
<p>Paul went on to challenge Mayweather to a boxing bout and said he doesn&#8217;t &#8220;need to prove my toughness&#8221; by trying to fight 50 guys.</p>
<blockquote><p>“You wanna run it one on one, no problem. But I’m not dumb. Okay? I’m tough, I don’t need to prove my toughness., but I’m not f–king dumb. I’m not gonna sit there and try to fight 50 dudes.”</p></blockquote>
<p>Mayweather&#8217;s entourage wasn&#8217;t buying Jake&#8217;s interpretation of the situation, with the same source telling TMZ that “Jake went to his IG and started name calling once again when he can hide behind a camera.”</p>
