<p>According to the singer&#8217;s <a href="https://mslaurynhill.com" target="_blank" rel="noopener">official website</a>, the 25th anniversary tour for her debut album is currently underway. <a href="https://www.tmz.com/2023/11/05/lauryn-hill-defend-late-tardiness-live-shows-miseducation-tour/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">TMZ</a> reports that Hill&#8217;s tour made a recent stop in Los Angeles, California, on the evening of Saturday, November 4.</p>
<p>Footage from the tour stop, <a href="https://www.instagram.com/reel/CzRxqYjyfSQ/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link" target="_blank" rel="noopener">obtained by The Shade Room</a>, shows the 48-year-old singer speaking passionately to her fans about her tardiness from the concert stage.</p>
<blockquote><p>&#8220;They hate that she&#8217;s late,&#8221; the singer said. &#8220;She&#8217;s late&#8230; Yo, y&#8217;all are lucky that I make it on this&#8230; stage every night!&#8221;</p></blockquote>
<p>Hill explained that she doesn&#8217;t perform at concerts due to societal expectations but rather her own duty to God.</p>
<h3 style="text-align: center;">The Singer Speaks On Touring The Globe Off Of Her Only Album</h3>
<p>As the singer&#8217;s impassioned speech continued, she recalled her debut album&#8217;s success. However, she explained that &#8220;no one showed up&#8221; to ask if she&#8217;d &#8220;like to make another one.&#8221;</p>
<p><strong>&#8220;So I went around the world, and I played the same album over and over and over&#8230; because we&#8217;re the survivors. And we&#8217;re not just the survivors, we&#8217;re the thrivers,&#8221;</strong> Hill continued.</p>
