<p>Ahead of the highly anticipated project, <a href="https://dev.theshaderoom.com/morris-chestnut-receives-star-on-the-hollywood-walk-of-fame/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Morris Chestnut</a> and Terrence Howard stepped into <a href="https://www.instagram.com/reel/CmMo9gMNj2p/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link" target="_blank" rel="noopener"><em>The Shade Room</em></a> to tease <em>The Best Man: The Final Chapters</em>!</p>
<p>The miniseries is the third installment in the<em> </em>franchise, which began back in 1999 with <em>The Best Man</em>. Aside from Morris and Terrence, other noteworthy stars include Taye Diggs, Nia Long, Sanaa Lathan, and Regina Hall.</p>
<p>In 2013, the film&#8217;s sequel, <em>The Best Man Holiday</em>, debuted.</p>
<h3 style="text-align: center;">Morris Teases What Longtime Fans Can Expect To See</h3>
<p>While discussing the project, Morris coyly addressed how his character—Lance Sullivan—&#8221;recovered&#8221; from the past hardship of losing Mia Morgan (played by Monica Calhoun) in <em>The Best Man Holiday</em>.</p>
<blockquote><p>&#8220;When this series opens up, Lance is coping with the loss of Mia in a very unique way.&#8221;</p></blockquote>
<p>He then teased that Lance goes through &#8220;another challenge&#8221; later in the series.</p>
<blockquote><p> &#8220;A few episodes down the line, he&#8217;s gonna be hit with another challenge that also tests his faith and his beliefs.&#8221;</p></blockquote>
<h3 style="text-align: center;">Terrence Acknowledges Whether Quentin Has &#8216;Changed&#8217; Since <em>The Best Man Holiday</em></h3>
<p>Segueing over to Terrence Howard, he took the opportunity to address how his character, Quentin Spivey, has &#8220;developed&#8221; since we last saw him on the silver screen.</p>
<blockquote><p>&#8220;I don&#8217;t know if he&#8217;s changed at all. I think reality has struck in. He&#8217;s watched his father, who was a very powerful man that did everything his own way, and he&#8217;s watched him become less sufficient to take care of himself, the business, and you see your own mortality in that. That&#8217;s a big thing for Quentin.&#8221;</p></blockquote>
<p>He also addressed that Quentin has &#8220;a lot to deal with,&#8221; as he has a new child. Additionally, Terrence shared that the characters have to live through the COVID-19 pandemic as well.</p>

<p>While on the subject, we have to point out that—at a red carpet event for the series—Terrence Howard addressed his final decision to retire, as <a href="https://dev.theshaderoom.com/terrence-howard-says-hes-given-his-very-best-as-an-actor-and-shares-final-decision-to-retire/" target="_blank" rel="noopener"><em>The Shade Room</em></a> previously reported.</p>
<blockquote><p>&#8220;This is the end for me. I don’t know if it’s the end for the rest of them. But for me, you know, I retired two years ago, for the most part. I was done. And it’s been finishing off the little things.&#8221;</p></blockquote>
<p>Terrence went on to add that he&#8217;s &#8220;enjoying watching other new talent come around.&#8221; So, after years of being a star, he&#8217;s ready to kick back and cheer on the new generation of thespians.</p>
