Wayment! Barbados Will No Longer Be Under Queen Elizabeth II & People Are Nominating Rihanna To Become Its New Head of State

OK RIRI! It looks like Twitter users want Rihanna to be the new head huncho in Barbados! Just recently, Barbados announced that the country will no longer be under the British monarch, Queen Elizabeth II.

According to the Daily Mail, “On Wednesday, the Caribbean island’s government said that ‘The time has come to fully leave our colonial past behind,’ and that includes removing the Queen as head of state and becoming a republic by November 2021.”

BAYBAY that was all the Rihanna Navy needed to hear! Now, Twitter is in a frenzy, throwing Bad Girl Riri’s name in the hat to become the new Head of State. Since the Barbadian government is looking to fill the position, maybe Rihanna will be the chosen one.

Rihanna has been about that life when it comes to being active in the Barbadian government. According to Elle, “She’s [Rihanna]now Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary, with specific responsibility for promoting education, tourism and investment for the island,” the island’s government announced on its information service site. Rihanna has been one of Barbados’ cultural ambassadors since 2008”

I’m gonna keep it real. I would LOVE to see the philanthropic multi talented queen as Barbados’ new Head of State! Not just because she’s Rihanna, but because she is a true humanitarian with a deep love for her Barbadian culture and heritage.

In reference to her appointed government position in Barbados back in 2018, Rihanna told Elle, “I couldn’t be more proud to take on such a prestigious title in my home country”, adding, “Every Barbadian is going to have to play their role in this current effort, and I’m ready and excited to take on the responsibility. I look forward to working with Prime Minister Mottley and her team to reimagine Barbados.”

Ri may not take on Head of State, but I hope she gives us a new album!
