To celebrate its 50th anniversary, Popeyes has just announced plans to sell chicken for only 59 centsyes, you read that right!
Popeyes is officially turning 50 and to celebrate the milestone, the company is giving back to its fans in the form of a deal that sounds almost too good to be true. @People reports, beginning on June 12th and lasting a full week, Popeyes is taking customers back to 1972 when they sold chicken for a little over 50 cents.
The special throwback deal is two pieces of chicken for just 59 cents, the exact same price it was sold for 50 years ago. In order to get your hands on the discount Popeyes chicken, all you have to do is fulfill a $5 order minimum. However, its important to note that the deal is only offered via the Popeyes mobile app and the company website.
If the two-piece chicken deal isnt your thing, dont worry because the company is assuring fans that the companys 50th birthday will be celebrated all month, which means that more deals and discounts are expected to come.
As youll recall, Popeyes single-handedly sparked the #ChickenSandwichWars back in 2019 when it released its ridiculously popular chicken sandwich that sold out all over the countryand had every other fast-food chain coming up with their own version.
