<p><strong>Wayne Brady</strong> opens up about the positive response he has received since he came out as pansexual over the summer.</p>
<p>In a recent interview with <a href="https://www.yahoo.com/entertainment/wayne-brady-coming-out-pansexual-lets-make-a-deal-lgbtq-225116311.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Yahoo Entertainment</a>, he noted how fans have been reaching out to him in hopes of gaining control of their own story, whether it&#8217;s about making a career move or coming out.</p>
<h3 style="text-align: center;">Wayne Brady&#8217;s Interview Made A Positive Impact</h3>
<p>&#8220;It&#8217;s never too late to take hold of your story,&#8221; he said, adding that this especially applied to younger members of the Black community who may be questioning their own masculinity.</p>
<blockquote><p>“I&#8217;ve gotten so many DMs, emails, and texts from people who, at a midpoint in their life, want to express themselves,&#8221; he shared.</p></blockquote>
<p>Brady reveals that, since his coming out over the summer, fans have told him how much he inspired them to live in their truth. He adds that his decision to speak out and be transparent about his sexuality gave others the courage to follow suit.</p>
<p>But more importantly, it&#8217;s made a lot of people realize that time waits for nobody.</p>
<p><strong><em> &#8220;Past a certain point, life becomes too short to live in the dark all the time,&#8221;</em></strong> the &#8216;Let&#8217;s Make A Deal&#8217; host added.</p>

<p>He first revealed his sexuality in a <a href="https://people.com/what-is-pansexual-what-to-know-about-the-lgbtq-label-7570673" target="_blank" rel="noopener">PEOPLE</a> interview in August, saying, &#8220;I am pansexual&#8221; and also explaining it as<em> &#8220;Bisexual with an open mind!</em>&#8221;</p>
<p>Brady, who grew up in Georgia, candidly recalled his noticeable attraction to men from an early age. However, his upbringing made him consistently push his feelings aside.</p>
<blockquote><p>He continued, &#8220;I couldn&#8217;t say if I was bisexual, because I had to really see what that was, especially because I really have not gotten a chance to act on anything&#8230;pansexual to me means being able to be attracted to anyone who identifies as gay, straight, bi, transsexual or non-binary. Being able to be attracted across the board.&#8221;</p></blockquote>
<h3 style="text-align: center;">Wayne Continues To Inspire Others</h3>
<p>The TV personality emphasized that his coming out interview was only the first step in his journey to self-acceptance and ownership and that he hoped to put his advocacy for the LGBTQ+ community to good use.</p>
<p>On Wednesday (December 13), the Gay Men&#8217;s Chorus of Los Angeles announced the return of its annual holiday concert, Hooray for Holidays, for two nights on December 16 and 17. This year, per <a href="https://beverlypress.com/2023/12/gmcla-welcomes-cantor-wayne-brady/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Beverly Press</a>, Brady joins them at the Saban Theatre. He signed up with the organization to promote civil rights and acceptance through music.</p>
