<p>Roommates, while we are unsure of the current state of Wendy Williams&#8217; health, her bank is reportedly under the impression that she is unable to handle her financial affairs at this present time.</p>
<p>According to legal documents obtained by <a href="https://pagesix.com/2022/02/10/wendy-williams-needs-a-guardianship-bank-claims/">Page Six</a>, Wells Fargo bank sent a letter to New York Supreme Court Judge Arie Bluth requesting a hearing to decipher whether or not Wendy needs assistance with handling her funds due to her health declining over the last few months.</p>
<p>&#8220;We are concerned about [Williams&#8217;] situation,&#8221; attorney David H. Pikus wrote on behalf of the bank. &#8220;It is our hope that the Guardianship part [of the court] will imminently appoint a temporary guardian or evaluator to review the situation and ensure that her affairs are being properly handled.&#8221;</p>
<p>Page Six reports that Wells Fargo&#8217;s request comes on the heels of Wendy&#8217;s attorney, Celeste N. McCaw, filing an emergency petition last Friday, claiming the bank had denied her access to her account for more than two weeks. Williams&#8217; former financial adviser Lori Schiller alleged she was &#8220;of unsound mind,&#8221; which reportedly prompted the bank to restrict her access.</p>
<p>Pikus reportedly argued that Wells Fargo &#8220;has strong reason to believe&#8221; Wendy Williams is a &#8220;victim of undue influence and financial exploitation.&#8221;</p>
<p>A spokesperson for Wells Fargo released a statement on the matter after Williams&#8217; attorney reportedly requested a temporary restraining order against the bank.</p>
<p>&#8220;We deny any allegations of improper actions with respect to Ms. Williams&#8217; accounts and are fully participating in a court process to reach a resolution that is in her best interest. The financial well-being of our client is at the heart of everything we do.&#8221;</p>
<p>As we previously reported, Wendy Williams has taken a hiatus from hosting her talk show since July 2021 after revealing that she has been dealing with ongoing health issues.</p>
