<p>Nick Cannon surprised fans earlier this month when he announced that he and LaNisha Cole were welcoming their first child together, making for his ninth overall.</p>
<p>The couple named the baby girl Onyx, with the &#8220;Wild &#8216;N Out&#8221; host simultaneously asked his followers not to criticize Cole during his daughter&#8217;s birth announcement.</p>
<blockquote><p>“I pray and ask others to please project all criticism and cynicism towards ME and not the loving and precious Mothers of my children,” wrote Cannon.</p>

<p>The other mothers in question are Mariah Carey, Brittany Bell, Abby De La Rosa, Alyssa Scott, and Bre Tiesi.</p>
<p>But who is Cole? The Shade Room takes a deeper look into the new mother to Nick Cannon&#8217;s ninth child.</p>

<h3 style="text-align: center;">Mother To Nick Cannon&#8217;s Ninth Child Was Model For Game Shows</h3>
<p>Cole, 40, worked as a briefcase model for the game show &#8220;Deal or No Deal&#8221; from 2006 to 2008. She also modeled for eight seasons of &#8220;The Price Is Right.&#8221;</p>
<p>A year after leaving the show in 2010, she claimed she was sexually harassed by producers Adam Sandler and Michael G. Richards while partially nude in a dressing room.</p>
<p>Cole eventually settled the case in 2013, <a href="https://pagesix.com/article/who-is-lanisha-cole-mother-of-nick-cannon-ninth-child/" target="_blank" rel="noopener"><strong>Page Six</strong></a> reports.</p>

<h3 style="text-align: center;">Cole Was Music Video Maven For Trey Songz, Pharrell, Dabbled In Acting</h3>
<p>She&#8217;s also been a well-known music video maven, having starred in Pharrell&#8217;s 2003 music video for the song &#8220;Frontin,'&#8221; as well as videos for Trey Songz, The Roots, and more.</p>
<p>The mother to Nick Cannon&#8217;s ninth child has also dabbled in acting, with roles in 2004&#8217;s &#8220;Soul Plane&#8221; and &#8220;A Beautiful Soul&#8221; in 2012. She also appeared on the show &#8220;Fact or Faked: Paranormal Files,&#8221; according to Page Six.</p>
<p>In 2011, the actress also joined the cast of “Fact or Faked: Paranormal Files” in 2011.</p>

<p>Cole is also an artist in her own right, opening a gallery in Santa Monica back in January 2011 and owning a photography studio in Los Angeles since 2013.</p>
<p>In May 2022, Cole started to document her pregnancy on Instagram, however she did not mention that Cannon was the father until after Onyx arrived.</p>
<h3 style="text-align: center;">Couple Have Been A Bit On-Again, Off-Again Over The Last Two Years Until Recently</h3>
<p>In February of last year, <a href="https://dev.theshaderoom.com/lanisha-cole-expresses-how-grateful-she-is-to-hold-nick-cannon-again-after-he-tested-positive-for-covid-19/" target="_blank" rel="noopener"><strong>The Shade Room</strong></a> reported that Cole expressed how was grateful she was to hold Cannon after it was revealed that he tested positive for COVID-19.</p>

<p>The couple have had a bit of an on-again, off-again relationship over the last two years.</p>
<p>In August 2020, Jessica White revealed that Cole and Nick called it quits as he prepared to welcome his second child daughter Powerful Queen Cannon with Brittany Bell, and his fourth child overall, who they welcomed in December of that same year.</p>
<p>Last year, word about a possible rekindled romance between Nick and LaNisha first came about when LaNisha shared that the two of them both got tattoos in New York City.</p>
