<p>Following reports of <a href="https://dev.theshaderoom.com/meghan-markle-planned-to-have-a-single-girl-summer-before-meeting-prince-harry/?_gl=1*1jp03on*_up*MQ..*_ga*NjM0MTQ3MTc3LjE2ODQ1MDUxMjQ.*_ga_V2HX8YP3XL*MTY4NDUwNTEyMy4xLjEuMTY4NDUwNjI1Mi4wLjAuMA.." target="_blank" rel="noopener"><strong>Prince Harry</strong></a> and <strong>Meghan Markle</strong> being involved in a New York City car chase with paparazzi, <strong><a href="https://dev.theshaderoom.com/whoopi-goldberg-snaps-back-at-heckler-who-called-her-an-old-broad-while-filming-the-view/?_gl=1*lrqa4z*_up*MQ..*_ga*NjM0MTQ3MTc3LjE2ODQ1MDUxMjQ.*_ga_V2HX8YP3XL*MTY4NDUwNTEyMy4xLjEuMTY4NDUwNTEzMC4wLjAuMA.." target="_blank" rel="noopener">Whoopi Goldberg</a> shared doubts</strong> about their story.</p>
<p>Goldberg shared her commentary during a recent episode of <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OUF03r2hMuU" target="_blank" rel="noopener"><em>The View</em></a>. After giving a quick rundown, Whoopi questioned whether car chases were even &#8220;possible&#8221; in New York City.</p>
<blockquote><p>&#8220;Their spokesperson called it a &#8216;near catastrophic car chase.&#8217; Others said it wasn&#8217;t bad. But I think people in New York know if it was possible to have car chases.&#8221;</p></blockquote>

<p>She then noted that while high-speed chases can go down in Los Angeles, pulling them off in NYC is trickier.</p>
<blockquote><p>&#8220;I think their spokesperson referenced something that you generally would reference in Los Angeles. That&#8217;s where you have chases. That&#8217;s where you can move at high speeds.&#8221;</p></blockquote>

<p>Whoopi summed up her feelings by sharing, <em><strong>&#8220;I think they were dealing with aggressive paparazzi, but I don&#8217;t think it was [a high-speed chase]. It just doesn&#8217;t work in New York.&#8221;</strong></em></p>
<p><strong>Joy Behar</strong> appeared to agree with Whoopi&#8217;s commentary, pointing out that ambulances even have trouble navigating the NYC traffic congestion.</p>
<p>However, <strong><a href="https://dev.theshaderoom.com/sunny-hostin-will-smith-cannot-be-upset-over-chris-rocks-recent-jokes-he-wasnt-the-one-who-got-slapped/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Sunny Hostin</a> </strong>shared a different perspective, noting that <strong><em>&#8220;no one ever claimed that there was a high-speed chase.&#8221;</em></strong></p>
<p>She also pointed out that electric bikes, which she called &#8220;menaces,&#8221; were allegedly involved before proclaiming, &#8220;If they felt scared, I will grant them that.&#8221;</p>
<p>Whoopi responded by noting that she &#8220;understood&#8221; Sunny&#8217;s stance, but she said the word &#8220;chase&#8221; was ultimately throwing her off a bit.</p>

<h3 style="text-align: center;">There Are Some Conflicting Stances On The Alleged 2-Hour Pursuit</h3>
<p>As <em>The Shade Room </em>reported, paparazzi allegedly pursued Harry, <a href="https://dev.theshaderoom.com/chris-rock-netflix-special-will-jade-meghan-markle/?_gl=1*11e4s9s*_up*MQ..*_ga*NjM0MTQ3MTc3LjE2ODQ1MDUxMjQ.*_ga_V2HX8YP3XL*MTY4NDUwNTEyMy4xLjEuMTY4NDUwNjI3OS4wLjAuMA.." target="_blank" rel="noopener">Meghan</a>, and her mother—<strong>Doria Ragland</strong>—on Tuesday night.</p>
<p>After calling the incident a &#8220;near catastrophic car chase,&#8221; a spokesperson for the couple noted, <strong><em>&#8220;This relentless pursuit, lasting over two hours, resulted in multiple near collisions.&#8221;</em></strong></p>
<p>Reports of the incident shocked many—mainly because a similar situation caused Princess Diana&#8217;s death in 1997.</p>
<p>However, <em><a href="https://www.independent.co.uk/life-style/royal-family/harry-meghan-car-chase-paparazzi-b2340661.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener">The Independent</a> </em>noted that the NYPD didn&#8217;t see the situation the same way. After calling the paparazzi pursuit &#8220;challenging,&#8221; a spokesperson added, &#8220;There were no reported collisions, summonses, injuries or arrests.&#8221;</p>
<p>Mayor <strong>Eric Adams </strong>also declared he found it &#8220;hard to believe&#8221; that the chase could have lasted two hours.</p>
<p>However, Adams was sure to point out, &#8220;If it&#8217;s 10 minutes, a 10-minute chase is extremely dangerous in New York City.&#8221;</p>
