Recently, Will sat down with Nischelle Turner over at Entertainment Tonight to dish on the secret to his hot and long-lasting marriage to his wife. One thing is for sure, if you really love someone, you just never give up! “At the end of the day it’s just not quitting. You can’t expect it to be easy,” Smith said of his marriage.
Will goes on to say, “It’s like, our marriage was the most difficult, grueling and excruciating thing that we’ve ever taken on in our lives and we’re just not quitters,” Smith told ET. “And by the same token we’re not apathetic. We’re not gonna just sit there and let it be painful. We’re gonna keep working”…He better preach!
The actor then goes into revealing his secret on what he thinks made his relationship successful all this time, “…and if there is a secret I would say it’s that we never went into working on our relationship. We only ever worked on ourselves individually and then presented ourselves to one another better than we were previously.”
So, if we’re all on the same page here, becoming a better individual optimizes your chance of having a successful relationship– got it! You can’t take care of someone else if you can’t even take care of you!
