<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">What a time for black horror films! @<a href="https://deadline.com/2019/01/wu-tang-rza-directs-angel-of-dust-ghostface-killah-sundance-1202544004/">Deadline</a> reports that #WuTangClan’s #RZA and #GhostfaceKillah have teamed up to produce a suspense horror thriller about growing up in and around the #StatenIslandProjects!</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">“Angel of Dust” is inspired by the true stories that happened around the hood to the Wu’s members when they were growing up. The film will be directed by RZA, and the story was created by Ghostface Killah and longtime manager, Caruso. The Wu-Tang Clan will also provide a new soundtrack produced by Ghostface and Caruso for the film.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">The movie centers around Casey, “a normal yet exceptionally smart teenager and talented rapper, but after the mysterious death of his parents, he’s been forced to grow up in (New York’s roughest inner-city streets (known as Shaolin in Wu-Tang folklore), basically on his own. As life in the hood around him gets tragically worse, he must put his skills to the test to survive not only the gangs, corrupt cops, junkies and bullies, but a serial killer with seemingly supernatural powers dubbed Angel of Dust by the media.”</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">“The creative collaboration of RZA and Ghostface has stood the test of time through our music. Now the opportunity to put our creative energies together onto the silver screen has arisen and I’m turbo charged. Bong Bong!,” RZA said of the film.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">All this happens as the group assembles today for the Sundance Film Festival premiere of the Showtime documentary series, </span><i><span style="font-weight: 400;">Wu-Tang Clan: Of Mics and Men</span></i><span style="font-weight: 400;">.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">“It’s a blessing to partner with Oscar nominated producer Shaun Redick and Impossible Dream Entertainment, and to be doing business with my brother, RZA directing is a dream come true. Putting all these great minds to work together will be legendary,” Ghostface said about the new horror film.</span></p>
