Over 24 hours later and the Internet is still on fire regarding the news of Yaya Mayweathers recent arrest for allegedly stabbing NBA Youngboys baby mama. However, one of the main things that many noticed in her mugshot photo was how her wig lookedwell her hairstylist has officially stepped into the chat to let everyone know how it really looked before things went down.
As we previously reported, Yaya was arrested in the early hours of April 4th for felony aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. Police said that the alleged victim, who was identified as Lapattra Lashai Jacobs, was at NBA YoungBoys home in Houston when Yaya walked in. Yaya reportedly told the other woman that she was his fiance and that she needed to leave.
Eventually, the two got into an argument in the kitchen where Yaya allegedly grabbed two knives. Thats when sources say Lapattra stepped towards Yaya, and Yaya allegedly charged at her with both knives. When police arrived at the scene, Lapattra was reportedly laying on the floor and then promptly transported to the hospital.
Yaya reportedly told the police that Lapattra started the fight because she pulled her hair and then when things escalated they ended up in the kitchen. In her mugshot, you can clearly see that her lavender wig has seen better daysand many online commenters couldnt resist throwing tons of shade at her look.
Getting wind over the uproar of her hair, Yayas hairstylist took to Instagram and posted a video of what her hair looked like before she got into the fight and ultimately arrested. She also captioned the video with, Please stop playing with me.
Well, were sure that Yaya has bigger things to worry about right now than her hair.
