<p><a href="https://dev.theshaderoom.com/young-thugs-brother-unfoonk-arrested-after-ysl-rico-plea-deal/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Unfoonk</a>, the brother of rapper <a href="https://dev.theshaderoom.com/young-thug-released-hospital-ill-court-hearing/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Young Thug</a>, has been sentenced to nine years and six months in prison. <p>This arrest occurred less than six months after Unfoonk accepted a plea deal in the YSL RICO trial.</p>

Glanville officially revoked Unfoonk&#8217;s probation on Monday before sentencing him to prison. The outlet also reported that Judge Glanville &#8220;scolded&#8221; Unfook, also known as Quantavious Grier, for the actions that led to his arrest.</p>
<blockquote><p>&#8220;You got arrested with a gun within six months of you being placed on probation. And I agree with the state — that you&#8217;re not a candidate for probation because all you had to do is complete your probation and do what you&#8217;re supposed to do. Instead, you were riding around in a car with a gun in violation of your probation and what this court <em>explicitly</em> had conversations with you about&#8230;&#8221;</p></blockquote>
<p>Judge Glanville continued.</p>
<blockquote><p>&#8220;And for that reason, sir, I&#8217;m going to revoke the balance of nine years and six months, and you will serve that in the Department of Corrections, and that will be the sentence of the court.&#8221;</p></blockquote>

<h3 style="text-align: center;">Details Of Unfoonk&#8217;s Violation Of Probation &; Gun Arrest</h3>
<p>As <a href="https://dev.theshaderoom.com/young-thugs-brother-unfoonk-arrested-after-ysl-rico-plea-deal/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">The Shade Room</a> previously reported, Unfoonk was arrested on Thursday, May 4, for possessing a firearm as a convicted felon. As well as being a &#8220;person associated with a criminal street gang while participating in illegal activity.&#8221;</p>
<p>Additionally, Unfoonk&#8217;s arrest also included &#8220;minor traffic offenses,&#8221; such as a &#8220;window tint violation,&#8221; as reported by <a href="https://www.wsbtv.com/news/local/young-thugs-brother-faces-judge-after-investigators-say-he-violated-terms-ysl-deal/GOLERE53ENESLNZRUYZD6MSLCQ/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">WSBTV</a>.</p>
<p>According to the outlet, the arrest occurred while plainclothes officers were monitoring activity on Cleveland Avenue in Southwest Atlanta. They reportedly noticed a Black Mercedes G Wagon parked at a BP gas station. While tracking the vehicle, officers noted that a crowd gathered around the vehicle&#8217;s passenger window, which led officers to speculate &#8220;a possible drug deal.&#8221;</p>
<p>Officers then stopped the vehicle as it left the parking lot and, upon inspection, noted that it smelled like marijuana. Additionally, officers noticed a handgun.</p>
<blockquote><p>&#8220;I also noticed a handgun in plain view located in the driver side door panel. Mr. Grier advised that the gun was clean, which prompted me to believe he had knowledge of the firearm being there.&#8221;</p></blockquote>
<p>Officers reportedly removed a 9mm handgun from the vehicle&#8217;s &#8220;door handle.&#8221;</p>
<p>Additionally, officers noted the particular location where Grier was arrested months after the YSL RICO trial.</p>
<blockquote><p>&#8220;The gas station where Grier was arrested is controlled and used by YSL for the commission of criminal gang activity,&#8221; wrote the detective.</p></blockquote>

<p>Additionally, Grier was expected to perform 750 hours of community service during probation. However, Judge Glanville noted during his sentencing that Unfoonk neglected to begin his service nor pay his probation fees.</p>
