Yung Joc Says Making The Forbes List In 2006 Was One Of The Worst Things That Could Happen (Video)

Pick your bottom lip off of the floor, yes Karlie Redd was correct when she said that Yung Joc had been on the Forbes List. It’s true, in 2006 he was ranked #20 for the richest rappers in Hip Hop. In fact, he made 10 Million dollars in one year.

Joc sat down in an interview with VladTV and said that making the Forbes List was one of the worst things that could have happened at that time because everyone around him (friends, family, business associates) began to look at him differently. He said that family members would ask him for $1,000 and he would give it to them willingly. However, after they found out how much he was worth they asked him why he didn’t give them 10,000 instead.

How did he make all of that money in one year? Well after his hit “It’s going down” he was highly sought after for appearances. Joc would charge 20-25k for day appearances and 30k for evening/night shows. Two shows a day would bring in around 50k daily, not including the money he made of off his music. He says that he invested the money in himself (studio, label) and it was his best investment thus far.

Joc’s baby mother recently said that Joc was only bringing in $1800 a month now. We wonder how true that is…
