Zendaya just landed a role in a new major film!
Sony and Marvel studios have reportedly been actively seeking someone to star in their Spider-Man reboot and 19-year-old Zendaya snagged the role after much time of many actresses quietly auditioning. The film will be based around Peter Parker (Spider-Man) but needed a lead woman role to be filled.
As the reported female lead, Zendaya will play Michelle. Michelle has been in the comics before but wasnt featured as Peter Parkers love interest. She was his roommate in early comics. Its still not known if she will be picking up the role as the roommate or assigned to a totally new character with new roles.
We cant wait to see Zendaya is this role. Its a little bit more serious and mysterious than many of her other roles but we know shell rise up to the occasion!
