These Verzuz battles have definitely been keeping us entertained during quarantine season! So much so that fans are putting in their own suggestions of battles theyd like to see. Fans have been consistently calling for a Brandy vs. Monica battle, however, theres a chance that it may not happen at all.
I heard that she doesnt wanna do it, Brandy said of Monica when asked by V103Atlanta if shes looking forward to a battle between them following the success of Jill Scott and Erykah Badus battle. The last thing I heard is she pretty much turned it down, she didnt want to be a part of that, but I understand.
Brandy continued to say that she loves what theyve been doing with the battles saying, I think its just a great way to share music and celebrateI mean the way Jill and Erykah did it, thats the way to do it. Even Teddy and Babyfacethey were really justit was great!
If yall recall, we recently reported on Monicas thoughts on whether or not shed do a battle with Brandy and she said, “People have put us against each other for 20-something years,” adding that they’re polar opposites. However, it seems as though she’d lean towards the idea of a celebration of their hits, rather than a battle.
