<p><strong>Patrick Mahomes</strong> and his wife, <strong>Brittany Mahomes</strong>, recently caught a ton of attention online thanks to a resurfaced interview that involved the couple getting quizzed on each other&#8217;s favorite things.</p>
<p>Specifically, Brittany, who is white, is getting the side-eye after proudly — and incorrectly — guessing that her biracial husband&#8217;s <strong><em>&#8220;favorite cheat day meal&#8221;</em></strong> is <strong><em>&#8220;fried chicken.&#8221;</em></strong></p>
<h3 style="text-align: center;">Brittany Got The Question Wrong TWICE Before Patrick Unveiled His REAL Favorite</h3>
<p>The interaction went down during an interview with <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ulnDs42cUZI" target="_blank" rel="noopener">GQ</a> that premiered last month.</p>
<p>The premise of the sit-down was for Patrick and Brittany, who have <a href="https://people.com/sports/patrick-mahomes-brittany-matthews-relationship-timeline/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">been together</a> since high school, to engage in a &#8220;couples quiz&#8221; to see just how well they know each other.</p>
<p>Nearly six-and-a-half minutes into the interview, the Kansas City Chiefs quarterback asked his wife, &#8220;What&#8217;s my favorite cheat day meal?&#8221;</p>
<p>Without missing a beat, Brittany Mahomes confidently answered with &#8220;fried chicken.&#8221; She was also sure to drag her answer out with a lil&#8217; drawl, as the answer came out as <strong><em>&#8220;friiied chicken.&#8221;</em></strong></p>
<p>However, Patrick Mahomes let his wife know that her guess was incorrect, and she followed up by guessing &#8220;chicken-fried steak and mashed potatoes.&#8221;</p>
<p>Nonetheless, Patrick confirmed that this was also incorrect before meekly sharing that the <em>real </em>answer is Mexican food, with a particular emphasis on Tex-Mex cuisine.</p>

<p>Although the sit-down premiered back on Jul. 12, it recently picked up steam online after social media users called attention to the interaction.</p>
<p>Given the history surrounding the <a href="https://www.npr.org/sections/codeswitch/2013/05/22/186087397/where-did-that-fried-chicken-stereotype-come-from" target="_blank" rel="noopener">stereotype</a> of Black Americans enjoying fried chicken, people had a thing or two to say about Brittany Mahomes&#8217; comment, especially since they&#8217;ve been an item since their teenage years.</p>
