<p style="margin-bottom: 20px;">Looks like Oprah Winfrey&#8217;s past has really come back to haunt her &#8230; Ironically a few day before Halloween. Anyways earlier this week, it was reported that a man named Calvin Mitchell claimed that he was Oprah&#8217;s lost son!</p>
<p style="margin-bottom: 20px;">Well Oprah has spoken up and she says that he is not her son but she does know who he is. &#8220;<span style="-webkit-text-size-adjust: auto; background-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0);">He was never my son,” ;</span>she said to ET’s Nancy O’Dell on Thursday<span style="-webkit-text-size-adjust: auto; background-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0);">. “He was a child I befriended … I think it was 1992. I was doing a film for television called ‘There Are No Children Here.’”</span></p>
<p style="margin-bottom: 20px;"><span style="-webkit-text-size-adjust: auto;">She says that she met Calvin while on set in a Chicago project housing complex where she said a &#8220;a cute little sparkly-eyed boy&#8221; handed her a soda. &#8220;</span><span style="-webkit-text-size-adjust: auto; background-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0);">I was so charmed by him that I started talking to him about his family, his school life and found out that he was in a situation where his mother didn’t have a job and they were stuck in the projects.”</span></p>
<p style="margin-bottom: 20px;"><span style="-webkit-text-size-adjust: auto; background-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0);">She describes moving Calvin who is now 35 and his family out of the projects and</span><span style="-webkit-text-size-adjust: auto; background-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0);"> ;helping his mom gain employment. She also placed Calvin in a Chicago private school but he was kicked out ;two months later for ;chronic lateness because his family couldn&#8217;t afford clocks in the house.</span></p>
<p style="margin-bottom: 20px;"><span style="-webkit-text-size-adjust: auto;">She expressed her disappointment for Calvin&#8217;s inability to stay on the right track even after she went out and bought a bag full of clocks as well as placing him in another school.</span></p>
<p style="margin-bottom: 20px;"><span style="-webkit-text-size-adjust: auto; background-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0);">&#8220;I had a long conversation with him about how disappointed I was but I was going to give him another chance,” she continued. “I found a school in Mississippi that was a private boarding school because I thought if I could remove him from the environment that he’d been accustomed to growing up in, that maybe that would be helpful to him.”</span><span style="-webkit-text-size-adjust: auto; background-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0);"><br /></span></p>
<p style="margin-bottom: 20px;"><span style="-webkit-text-size-adjust: auto; background-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0);">She ;</span><span style="-webkit-text-size-adjust: auto; background-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0);">did mention that she had a son when she was 14 but he unfortunately passed away. In an efforts to lighten up the convo she jokingly says, &#8220;I</span><span style="-webkit-text-size-adjust: auto; background-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0);"> ;would have to say if I was the birth son, I’d be looking for me too. I’d be like ‘Mama, what happened?’” ;</span></p>
