In August of 2015 rapper, Kevin Gates, stirred up controversy when avideo surfaced on social media showing him kicking a female fanin the front row at one of his showsin Florida.
In today’s news, Gates has since been charged for simple battery overthe incident that took place but now Gatesis also using Florida’s law against the courts because he’s claiming self defense!
According toComplex, Gates says he was exercising his rightin conjunction with the “Stand Your Ground” law when he kicked Miranda Dixon in the face. Allegedly, Dixonpulled at Gates shorts twice while he was on stage and Gates took it as ifshe was trying to pull him off the stage.
Gates says he gave Dixon a verbal warning the first time, but thenwhen she did it again. He felt “necessary force” was needed to defendhimself. OOP!Well talking about flipping the tables!
