<p>As if 2016 couldn&#8217;t get any better, yesterday Lauryn Hill announced that she will be headlining the very first &#8216;Diaspora Calling!&#8217; Music Festival today! Hill partnered with Tidal in order to bring this 3-day music and arts fest to life! Everything started on Thursday night with an art gallery that she curated along with MoCADA, Nader Haitian Art, and the Haiti Cultural Exchange.</p>
<p>In a statement, Hill explained, “Diaspora Calling! is a collection of works intended to celebrate the rich tapestry of artists from the African Diaspora while also illumining persistent and irrepressible themes,” said Hill in a statement. “Even if we work independently, we are a resounding collective voice, both reconciling and embracing our relationship to history, our origins, our future and to ourselves.”</p>
<p>According to #RapUp, today &#8220;L. Boogie will headline the inaugural festival, with additional performances by Machel Montano, Stephen “Ragga” Marley, Stonebwoy, Wondaboy, and Mr. Eazi.&#8221;</p>
