<p>Yesterday Drake dropped his new project “Dark Lane Demo Tapes” to hold us over until his next album. He later joined Lil Wayne via phone on <em><a href="https://www.instagram.com/p/B_qcvAlF44J/">Young Money Radio</a></em> to talk about the project, fatherhood, and much more.</p>
<p>As we <em><a href="https://dev.theshaderoom.com/drake-pens-a-sweet-message-to-his-son-adonis-shares-photos/">previously</a></em> reported, Drake showed off his son Adonis for the first time, and during their conversation, Drake opened up to Lil Wayne about his decision to finally show his son.</p>
<p>He said, &#8220;I just woke up one morning and I was like, you know what? This is just something that I want to do. I want to be able to go places with my son and share memories with my son. I don&#8217;t want to feel like just because of a life choice I made to be a &#8216;celebrity&#8217; that I got to make everybody live under this blanket.&#8221;</p>
<p>However, before ending the call, Lil Wayne asked the question that many people have been wanting to know, which is when are they going to drop some new music together.</p>
<p>Drake says he’s ready to do another collab with Weezy any time, as they both explained how they are both perfectionists when it comes to the music.</p>
<p>Lil Wayne said, &#8220;Now, something about me and Drizzy songs that we do together, we are both perfectionists. So, it&#8217;s not like, you send me a joint, I&#8217;m going to throw a verse on there.&#8221;</p>
<p>Drake continued, &#8220;We got a standard we got to live up to and we got a track record and a legacy we got to always protect. And then on top of that, it&#8217;s like we have this thing where it&#8217;s like, well, if I&#8217;m a send you a joint and I&#8217;m going to go first, first of all, I already know, it&#8217;s like, all right, I know this man&#8217;s about to go crazy on me. And I feel like it&#8217;s like &#8230; These are the moments where we truly&#8230;In rap, there&#8217;s no score to define a winner or there&#8217;s no championship game. So, these are the moments of competition that we truly enjoy.&#8221;</p>
<p>Nonetheless, Drake said he’ll be in the studio all weekend, and at least by next week, Lil Wayne will have two new joints to work on so we could get the music we all have been waiting on.</p>
