She received her honorary doctorate from <a class="" href="https://www.instagram.com/explore/tags/berkleecollegeofmusic/">Berklee College of Music</a> May 11th!! Did y’all know that she is thee FIRST female rapper to receive the degree!?</p>
<p>Other creatives to hold this degree are <a class="" href="https://www.instagram.com/explore/tags/arethafranklin/">Aretha Franklin</a>, <a class="" href="https://www.instagram.com/explore/tags/bbking/">BB King</a>, <a class="" href="https://www.instagram.com/explore/tags/smokeyrobinson/">Smokey Robinson</a> and <a class="" href="https://www.instagram.com/explore/tags/lorettalynn/">Loretta Lynn</a>. This has been a helluva year for <a class="" href="https://www.instagram.com/explore/tags/missy/">Missy. A</a>s many of you may know, she was also inducted into the <a class="" href="https://www.instagram.com/explore/tags/songwritershalloffame/">Songwriters Hall of Fame</a> in January! Congratulations, Missy!!</p>
